Michael Earl Hein, 65, of Pikwakanagan, Ontario, passed away suddenly at home on April 25, 2026, surrounded by the love of his children. Born on October 6, 1960, in Pembroke, Ontario, Mike was the son of Earl and Marlene Hein. He spent many dedicated years working in steel manufacturing, but his greatest passion was sharing his knowledge of the land and the outdoors with his children and all those fortunate enough to know him. He was always eager to share stories of the wildlife that visited his yard with anyone who stopped by. Mike will be lovingly remembered by his children, Charlie Hein and Becky (Mike) Phillips, and by his cherished grandchildren, Cohen, Kadance (Jayden), Noah, and Wren. Raymond Jay (Ray) Leak, 93, of Jamesville, NY passed away peacefully at home on Friday, evening, September 4, 2025. He was born on April 15, 1932, a son of the late Raymond Earl and Margaret Williams Leak. He was president of his graduating class at Smith Technical High School in 1951. He joined the Air Force right out of high school where he served as an instructor for his 4-year tour at Sampson Air Force Base. He returned to his job with Commander Foods and remained with the company for 51 years, through their transition to P&C Foods, retiring as price coordinator.
